Ellen's House, Anglesey

Another abandoned former home in the Anglesey countryside, full of the former occupant' s possessions just left behind. I don't know who lived here last but a left behind Avon receipt has the name Ellen on as the recipient so it's not impossible a lady called Ellen was indeed the last occupant. When she departed is anyone's guess but it was some time ago judging by the total chaos in the house and signs of decay which had started to creep in to the house.
from the outside, it's a lovely looking stone brick house with beautiful original wooden sash windows. Such a rarity to see these days whereby the preference is garish upvc windows. Wooden sash windows give houses their character and it's usually only these type of abandoned houses which have them anymore. NO doubt if the house is ever bought and renovated, those windows will be replaced by modern characterless upvc window frames, and probably the door too. The torn net curtains added yet more delightful old fashioned character to the house.
The house consists of two bedrooms upstairs and the usual reception rooms downstairs plus a kitchen and a pantry room. Most of the possessions left behind were typically female possessions [for the want of being sexist - being 2026 when I type this!] suggesting Ellen lived here alone before the house became abandoned, maybe outliving her husband if she indeed have one.
