Eirwen's House of Dolls, Wales

Deep in the heart of the Welsh countryside, this old stone detached house stands alone within empty fields with only the sheep to keep it company as well as an old rusting car in front of the house - salient clues to the long abandoned nature of the house.
The front door was missing so entry was straight forward but upon entering the lounge I was greeted by three sheep that quickly ran out the doorway upon seeing me. The overall state of the house inside certainly pointed to it not being lived in for some decades and there was obviously no attempt to secure the house suggesting no one had any interest in it. I have since spoken to the lady who this name is named after - who when the house became abandoned was still a small girl with - as can be seen from the photos - all her childhood possessions still in the bedroom upstairs. This is what makes this house quite unique as it isn't often to come across abandoned houses whereby the children's bedrooms are still intact. This naturally leads me to ask the question; why did the family suddenly abandon the house and leave everything behind? More pertinent, why did no member of the family think enough of the house to secure it and prevent such extensive decay setting in?
The lady in question wasn't too happy that people had been inside and taken photographs which I understand, however, I reminded her that a house with missing doors, broken windows and sheep wandering about inside the decayed interior leads people to naturally presume it has been completely abandoned and therefore sparks curiosity.
I believe it was abandoned around the late 1980s, maybe 1987 as the calendar in the child's bedroom was from 1987. All her school note books were still in the bedroom albeit covered in dust and debris and thoroughly damp. Along with these were her childhood toys and other personal items. The rest of the house pointed to it not being lived in after the 1980s judging by the years on the front of books and the electrical items still there especially the classic old push button 1980s television.
A few hours later I left the house having photographed it thoroughly and allowed the sheep to once again wander inside for shelter from the elements.
